Joe Igbokwe, the Special Adviser for Drainage and Water Resources to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, has questioned the competence of Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor, and Nollywood star, Funke Akindele.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that although rumours were rife this week that Akindele has been picked as Jandor’s running mate, the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said the governorship candidate of the party, Adediran, has not named Akindele as running mate.
Reacting to the topic which trended on social media, Igbokwe insinuated that the duo lacked “what it takes to govern Lagos”.
“If they know what it takes to govern Lagos they will not bother themselves. Can these ones interpret the Lagos budget document? Do they know that governing Lagos is more tedious than governing Nigeria? Do they know that governing Lagos is a 24hr business?
“Can they handle the troubles and dynamics involved in running this great and bubbling City? Can they handle the sophisticated and slippery Civil Servants politics? Do they know that governing Lagos is like presiding over Ghana, Cameroon is Senegal?” Igbokwe remarked via his known Facebook page on Wednesday.
Coupled with the fact that, an ex-convict of misdemeanor cannot be allowed to run any government both in Nigeria and anywhere in the world?
You would recall Funke Akindele was indicted and fined for flouting the Chinese virus rules of Lagos state.
Governance in Nigeria is fast becoming nonsensical child’s play.
THESE ARE THE DYFUNCTIONS AND MALADIES THAT WOULD RETAIN NIGERIA IN THE WOODS FOR A LONG TIME TO COME.
