2023: ‘Buhari not Chairman of our presidential campaign council’ – APC

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has quashed reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has been appointed as the Chairman of its Presidential Campaign Council.

In a statement on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, obtained by POLITICS NIGERIA, the APC asked the public to disregard the purported list of its 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, as it is not authorised nor unofficial.

According to him, the leadership of APC and the Presidential standard-bearer, Bola Tinubu will formally unveil the campaign council in due course.

Onanuga noted that the party understands the interest of the general public in the APC and its presidential candidate and urged the media to exercise more restraint in dissemination of information that are not correct.

While quoting the Secretary of APC Presidential Campaign Council, James Faleke, Onanuga explained that the various directorates of the campaign structure are still being put together in consultation with the APC Governors and other party stakeholders.
