Labaran Kabir Magashi, a key ally of the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is dead.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Magashi died on Tuesday morning.
His funeral prayer will be held later today in Unguwar Magashi.
Details of his death are still sketchy, but his demise was confirmed by Hassan Saifullahi, the media aide of Kwankwaso.
“To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
“Labaran Kabir Magashi is dead now. May Allah forgive him and have mercy on him. Amen,” Saifullahi announced via his known Facebook page.
The deceased was a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he contested for the State House of Assembly, Gwale Constituency in Kano State, in the last general elections.
Condolence messages for the loss of the NNPP leader started pouring in immediately after his death was announced.
