Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has revealed that her husband, Muhammadu Buhari, suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) for many years.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Aisha said that she played the role of a physiotherapist for Buhari.
Speaking recently as special guest of honour at a ceremony for the Armed Forces Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Centre (AFPTSDC) initiated by the Mrs Lucky Irabor-led Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), the First Lady said: “My husband served the Nigerian Army for 27 years before he was overthrown in a coup d’état. He fought civil war for 30 months without rehabilitation; he ruled Nigeria for 20 months and was detained for 40 months without disclosing the nature of his offence.
“One year after he came out from detention, we were married, I clocked 19 years in his house as his wife, legitimately.
“I suffered the consequences of PTSD, because having gone through all these, and at the age of 19, to handle somebody, who was a former Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria’s Armed Forces, to tell him that he is wrong is the first mistake you will make.
“So, at the age of 19, I had to figure out how to tell somebody of his calibre that he was wrong or right and that was the beginning of my offence in his house, and contesting elections in 2003 and failed, 2007, failed and 2011, the same thing – all without rehabilitation – I became a physiotherapist.”
He is sick we know
Good work keep it up
That explains why he doesn’t listen to anyone
Administrations of tyrancy are like that always, no good news from them. But, let them learn from the administration of idiamin of Uganda & others of alike of them.
What’s the meaning of tyranny. And does he fall into that definition in action and words? You people just go about maligning a good character without any justification.
Na WA oooo I n know say baba dem pass all dis catacata
YOU FAILED AS A WIFE BECAUSE YOU SHIED AWAY FROM TELLING YOUR HUSBAND THE VERY BITTER TRUTH HE NEEDED AND WAS YEARNING TO HEAR FROM YOU, AS A CLOSE ,LOVED ONE. LOOK HOW HE TURNED OUT TO BE, NOW. NO REASONING CAPABILITY, CAPACITY, NOT COMMUNICABLE. NO UNDERSTANDING OF THE PRESENT. AS A MATTER OF FACT, HE WAS FIT AND CAPABLE OF LEADERSHIP. THE ODDS, ARE JUST TOO WEIGHTY. SORRY, IF IT’S SYMPATHY YOU ARE YEARNING FOR, AFTER THE VERY CALLOUS WAYS HE GOVERNED NIGERIA, FORGET IT.
That is why he is totally in different world and can not understand the reality of the modern civilised world of this age. The entire country is suffering it today
Am sure you don’t know the meaning of tyranny otherwise you wouldn’t have referred to him as one.
I wander why most of Nigerians didn’t mean well for their leaders even when they pass through hell to salvage this country take a look at North Korea for example despite the sanction and many challenges they experience still they celebrate their leaders.course your leaders won’t progress your country love them they love you.
The damages had already been done, we called it a day. Those who benefits from his administration, $ those who lost their lives , their belongs, wealth etc there will be aday of jugement
