An Abuja Court of Appeal on Friday ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to call off its ongoing strike.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the appellate court stated that calling off the strike is the only condition that the union’s request to appeal the ruling of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) which ordered ASUU to call off its strike will be given effect.
The court on Friday urged university lecturers to return to classrooms as soon as possible.
Earlier, on Wednesday, the Appeal Court had asked the parties to explore the option of an out-of-court settlement. However, an agreement was not reached by both the Federal Government and ASUU.
Recall that several meetings between ASUU and the federal government have ended in a deadlock.
Consequently, the federal government went to court to challenge the industrial action.
This is amazing well let them resume
The truth here is all dis, political thinking that young pple here in Niger are fools
Time Will come when you future children will be abandoned outside there, By then, they will be like papa where is my village…..
Think wisely…..
We all are human being
Reopen the university for Good
Remain Bless
Nice oneeeeee
Now nothing asuu can do but to call off by force
Why should ASSU obey court order is that how your federal government do obey court order?
Am not in support of the ongoing strike but for once we should respect everyone right.
What ASSU is demanding for is their entitlement and not the government own.
The court that had been influenced by the government of the day, they cannot give fair judgement.
What a shame.
you are right
Zulkifilu yahaya
Ok
Alhamdulillahi! at last they finally surrender.
ASUU, shine eyes.
ASUU compose of bodies of wise men, they know what next to do…………
Nice one
The struggle continues….as asuu approaches the Supreme Court…
It come for jubilation among Naija Students, ooooobi Asuu
Hi! Folks, at least ‘ASUU’ initially achieved some of their requests/demands, they can’t expect everything at once ‘An Adage that says Life is Gradual Process, and this Life is Give and Take’ an in game or war, ‘U Lose Some and Win Some’ To me they tried their best, but ‘ASUU’ should remember ‘One Who Fights and Runs Leaves to Fight Another Day’ ‘ASUU’ should postpone this fight for another time/day
Asuu should just go back to classroom and await Government fulfil the one they agreed upon. If the Government does nothing, then they should vote out the Government hoping that the new Government will do something.
Government appointed the Judges in the various courts and their loyalty is towards Their Employer.
Wise speech but This our so Call Nigeria Government is very Wicked all the people in the rightful position that suppose to make Nigeria a better and great Nations and they refused to do it they will not know peace all of them and their household amen!!!
Good and very sensible remark, cheers!
Live is about win some lose some, you cant win all, lesson must be learned

Omo he choke who they breath!
Asuu una time is off!
Ah ejo.
Asuu should okay these, for the sake of our children who are idling away aimlessly for the sake of God
Assu should be considerate, pls.
Thanks to God las las person pikin go go school ahh ahhh dis thing no be almost a year? Ahhhh e no good at all even tho I been want make dem go strike but dis one com long.
ASUU should understand that excess of anything is not desirable. And now that the Court order is on them, it must be obeyed. In fact, I see the Court order as soft landing or face saving for ASUU. For how long will they hold the Nation to ransom? Another ASUU can continue where this regime of ASUU stops. E don do.
Thank God for everything we are finally going back to school
Anything can happen I don’t trust any of them
