The Director of Public Affairs and Chief Spokesperson, Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN), on Tuesday, said Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election, “has no right” to claim the achievements of his former boss, Olusegun Obasanjo.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Atiku served as the vice president of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 during the presidency of Obasanjo.
Referencing a past tweet by Atiku where the Adamawa-born politician seemed to explain the subordination of his former position, Keyamo said it is a pointer that Atiku “has no single achievement in the public sector” which he can use to campaign.
The APC chieftain also accused the former vice-president of ‘undermining former president Obasanjo’ in the two-term that they spent together in office.
“In 2014, Atiku Abubakar made this confession below. It justifies my position that Atiku Abubakar has NO SINGLE achievement in the public sector with which to campaign.
“He has no right to claim the achievements of his boss, more so as he tried to undermine that boss for 8 years,” Keyamo wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
