Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, on Friday said he will review the appointment of Special Assistants on Political Units from 50, 000 to 100,000.
Wike disclosed this during a media chat with selected media houses this morning, monitored by POLITICS NIGERIA. The chat was held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
The appointees are expected to work for the governor at various political units in the State.
Wike who cited the “appalling” rate of unemployment for his decision, said the next government can choose to discontinue with his appointees.
Asked how much he will be paying the political appointees, the governor refused to reveal their remuneration.
