JUST IN: Rivers Assembly Begins Screening Of Fubara Commissioner Nominees

The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced the formal screening of the commissioner nominees recently submitted by Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

During the plenary session on Monday, the lawmakers began evaluating the fitness of the individuals picked to lead various ministries in the state.

At approximately 10 a.m., nine nominees were seen being escorted into the Assembly chambers to face the legislators.

This legislative action follows a formal request by Governor Fubara to fill the vacancies within the State Executive Council.

The names currently before the House include Professor Datonye Alasia, Mr. Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, and Dr. Peters Nwagor. Others on the list are Mrs. Charity Deemua, Tamuno Williams, Mr. Lekue Kenneth, Otonye TKD Amachree, and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
