Rivers governor, Nyesom Wike has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the state, Siminialayi Fubara; all the House of Representatives, Senate and State House of Assembly will win in the 2023 general elections.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Governor Wike however disclosed that Rivers State is yet to determine what to do concerning the presidential election. The PDP presidential flag-bearer is Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a former vice-president of Nigeria.
The governor, who is presently not on the same page with Atiku, spoke during the inauguration of 319 Ward and 32 Constituency Liaison Officers in Government House, Port Harcourt on Monday.
“PDP will win our State. I am not hiding it as far as the governorship, House of Reps, Senate and State Assembly is concerned.
“The other one we have not decided, until the right thing is done (Iyorchia Ayu stepping down as the PDP National Chairman).”
