BREAKING: Zamfara State Governor Lawal and Deputy Defects to APC [VIDEO]

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, along with his deputy, has officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The monumental shift was confirmed by the Deputy Governor, Mani Malam Mummuni, who spoke on behalf of Governor Lawal.

Addressing a gathering of party faithful and government officials, Mummuni formally “announced their defection from the PDP to the APC,” marking a total realignment of the state’s executive leadership.

This development follows weeks of intense speculation regarding the Governor’s political future.

The transition reached a symbolic peak today as the PDP flag was removed from Zamfara Government House in presence of Deputy Governor Mani Malam Mummuni and Governor Dauda Lawal’s cabinet.

The removal of the umbrella logo signifies the end of the PDP’s brief return to power in the North-Western state.

Sources within the government suggest that the decision was driven by the need for better synergy with the federal government to tackle the lingering security challenges facing the state.
