The former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, explained how President Muhammadu Buhari allegedly supported the removal of Muhammed Sanusi as the Emir of Kano.
He also denied issuing quarry to the emir he appointed in 2014.
Mr Kwanwaso who spoke with BBC Hausa on Wednesday alleged that have told him the role Mr Buhari played in Mr Sanusi’s removal.
“Kano State government officials have been saying they were directed to dethrone Mr Sanusi ll. He (Buhari) instructed them.”
For him, responsible government would not dethrone Mr Sanusi.
He also accused Mr Buhari of always playing to the gallery when he’s not supposed to be neutral.
While efforts to get the reaction of the presidency on this allegations, POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that Mr Buhari had earlier said he doesn’t have the constitutional mandate to interfere in the crisis between Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and Mr Sanusi.
