Hoodlums in the early hours of Thursday set ablaze an office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ogun State.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the affected INEC building is located at Iyana Mortuary lll in Abeokuta.
The hoodlums, numbering about eight reportedly scaled the perimeter fence, jumped into the premises, and committed the unlawful act at about 1 am.
Sources said assailants soaked loaves of bread with petrol and threw same into the building at different angles to light up the INEC office.
The police from Ibara division reportedly mobilised personnel to the scene and subsequently contacted men of the fire service in the state.
The Ogun INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Niyi Ijalaye confirmed the incident.
