2023: Details of Atiku’s meeting with CAN revealed

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election, on Tuesday, said that he “agreed” with the leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) that the country needs restructuring.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Atiku and his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, met with the CAN leaders at the association’s headquarters in Abuja.

Also on his team to visit the religious leaders was Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the embattled National Chairman of the PDP.

Atiku said with restructuring, there will be more inclusivity and “greater opportunities” for Nigerians.

He also said he stressed the “inevitability” of voting out the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), due to its poor governance.

Recall that last week, one of Atiku’s main challengers, Bola Tinubu (APC), also met with CAN.

Messrs Atiku and Tinubu are Muslims.

“I have just concluded my interactive session with the Christian Association of Nigeria. It was a rewarding experience for me and the leadership of CAN. My policy prescriptions to recover Nigeria appears to align with the demands of the association greatly,” Atiku said via Twitter.

  1. Atiku Abubakar is a hypocrite. A vote for Atiku is a vote for Myetti Allah to continue from where Buhari has stopped. He is a patron of that orgay. He is also a self centered man ready to continue the looting and favouring his tribe and religion. Don’t be fooled, Obasanjo knows him more than all of us.

  2. President Muhammadu Buhari has done very well by allowing the redesigning of Nigerian currency notes which is very much welcomed:- kudos to the apex Bank. Hoping the unveiling of the newly designed currency will bring forth era of new Nigeria where equity, fairness and justice will reign. Congratulations to Nigerians!

  3. You’re quite right my brother Umoru. Atiku and Buhari are same same. Atiku in government then kidnappings, abductors, tribalism and injustice is continua. Why every important post is being given to Fulani.

    1. We needed explanation from President Muhammadu Buhari. Denying Yorubas, Ibos, Hausas and Christian Fulanis holding important posts in the country.
May peace, fairness, justice and equity reign in Nigeria
