WATCH: Popular politician weeps heavily, begs Wike

A founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area (LGA), Rivers State, Chidi Lloyd, on Tuesday asked Governor Nyesom Wike for mercy.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Lloyd spoke on Tuesday during the commissioning of Akpabu-Itu-Umudiagha Road in Emohua LGA.

“Actually, this community does not deserve this road because of me and the things I did to you. But today, we are here to commission this road,” Lloyd said.

“I want to thank you on behalf of my community, my wife and children.

“Your Excellency, I was in university as a student when you called me at the heat of the pandemic, and I begged you for one thing. I said ‘Your Excellency, whatever it is that I have done, forgive and forget’.

“I was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly for 12 years, I couldn’t do this for myself.

“Today, we are here to commission this road. Words will fail me to thank you. But I just want to tell you publicly that I will try as long as I live to remedy all that I have done to you, and that for the remaining days of my life, I will continue to serve and be with you.”
