JUST IN: Labour leader reacts to petrol price increase, reveals next step

Organised Labour has called for a mass rejection of the new petrol pump price.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the Federal Government quietly approved ₦185 as the new petrol pump price per litre – an 8.8 per cent increment from N170 per litre.

The approved pump price was communicated to major marketers in a memo early Thursday.

Fuel stations in Lagos State and several other states have started adjusting their pump price to the approved ₦185 per litre.

Reacting to the development, a top labour leader said the ordinary Nigerians will express their frustration at the forthcoming 2023 polls.

“We are not only going to resist the Nigerian masses, but the Nigerian workers and the ordinary Nigerians will also express their frustration at the polls.

“The increase has reinforced the belief that Nigerians must take our destinies into our hands,” Vanguard quotes the labour leader as saying.
