With less that 40 days to the 2023 election, the Director of the Civil Society directorate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Najatu Mohammed, has dumped the ruling party and consequently resigned as director of the council.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that in a letter dated January 19, 2023 and addressed to the national Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu, Mrs Mohammed said the challenges Nigeria faces require her to continue championing the struggle for a better country with a clear conscience.
“I am writing to you to intimate you of my resignation from the All Progressive Congress (APC).
“I am by this letter also informing you of my resignation as the Director of the Civil Society directorate of the Presidential Campaign Council of the APC. It has been a great honour working with you to contribute towards the building of our dear nation,” her letter partly reads.
In a separate statement issued on Saturday, the activist said she quit partisan politics as the parties have no ideological difference.
“After much reflection and careful consideration, I have decided to part ways with party politics,” she announced.
“I have come to the realization that my values and beliefs no longer align with party politics.
“Our political parties have no ideological differences and are simply robes that politicians wear to serve their personal needs and interests at any given time.
“As a result of which we see politicians changing from one robe to another whenever it suits them.”
Now that you have realised, tell me you want to support Atiku in order to retain another fulani in power. ONE NIGERIAN they said.
SHE WAS REPORTED TO HAVE RESIGNED ON THE GROUND OF IDEOLOGY.
Therefore, the question. When did she come to such conclusion, when did she come to her senses to realize such fundamental disparity with her current realty.
I WOULD NOT BUY ANY OF SUCH FLIP-FLOP NONSENSCAL UNPRINCIPLE TELL TALE.
Watch out for her treachery, she is yet to come out with her real intentions.
DEFINETLY NOT ANY OF THE IDEOLOGICAL RUBBISH SHE DISHED OUT.
Thank God she has conscience and power to hold on to it. Now she will identify with Obidients for a new Nigeria boid of criminal idiological structure.

There is more than meet the eye here. The reason given for this resignation seems too convenient. The lack of critical differences between party ideologies in Nigeria has been obvious for years
Very well she realized her ideological goals on time and throw in the towels.
