ADC Releases Schedule for 2026 Nationwide Congresses and National Convention

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled the official schedule for its 2026 nationwide congresses and national convention.

In a statement, the party said the exercise is part of its constitutional mandate to renew leadership structures at all levels of the organisation.

The process will begin at the grassroots, progressing through polling units and wards, local government and state levels, before culminating in the National Convention, the party explained.

The ADC said the congresses are designed to strengthen internal democracy and reposition the party ahead of future political engagements.

The approved timetable is as follows:

  • Polling Unit and Ward Congresses: Tuesday, 7 April 2026

  • Local Government Area Congresses: Thursday, 9 April 2026

  • State Congresses: Saturday, 11 April 2026

  • National Convention: Tuesday, 14 April 2026

The party urged members nationwide to participate actively, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and credible exercise.
