Atika Ajanah, the Assistant Secretary of Protocol and Event of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), on Monday said the party is not divided.
Ajanah gave this assurance while speaking on Channels TV’s programme, The 2023 Verdict, monitored by POLITICS NIGERIA.
According to the APC chieftain, “we are with President Muhammadu Buhari”.
Ajanah’s affirmation comes against the backdrop of Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the ruling party urging President Buhari; the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele; and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami; to respect the Supreme Court’s order on the Naira redesign and swap policies.
The Supreme Court had ordered the CBN not to implement the February 10 deadline for use of old Naira notes, but Emefiele had said there was no need to shift the deadline.
There has been nationwide outrage with some APC governors criticising Buhari over the issue.
Speaking on the matter, Ajanah said: “We are not divided. That is what the opposition like to make others believe, because of the objection of some of our governors.
“We are with the president. We are just appealing to the president and the CBN governor to allow the interim verdict of the Supreme Court to stand for now.”
WHERE AND WHAT IS THE DIVISION IN A CONSONANCE WITH SAME PURPOSE?
Both positions speak to and against the sufferings hardship and agonies of the people for no access to their hard-earned money.
IT WAS SAME POSITION ON THE SIDE OF THE PEOPLE.
Only in the estimations of cynics!
