BREAKING: Former AGF Malami Finally Released After Weeks in Detention [VIDEO]

The Department of State Services (DSS) has officially sanctioned the release of the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN.
This development ends several weeks of high-profile detention for the former Chief Law Officer of the country.
Reports reaching POLITICS NIGERIA indicate that Malami has already returned to his private residence following his departure from the custody of the secret police.
Malami’s legal troubles reached a fever pitch earlier this year when he was taken into DSS custody under dramatic circumstances.
The arrest occurred just moments after he had perfected bail conditions at the Kuje Correctional Centre regarding a separate money laundering case involving billions of naira.
While the former minister had hoped for a reprieve, the DSS immediately moved in to detain him for further questioning.
The core of the investigation by the security agency reportedly focused on weighty allegations. Sources close to the matter suggest that the DSS probed Malami over his handling of a sensitive list of terror financiers provided by the UAE in 2021.
The case took a significant turn just last week when the current Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, formally took over the prosecution from the DSS.
During a session at the Federal High Court in Abuja, the government requested more time to review the case files to ensure a thorough legal process.
After weeks in detention, the DSS has finally released former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami SAN, who is now back at his residence.
