A High Court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on Wednesday issued an order to prohibit Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party; Farouk Ibrahim, the National Secretary; Clement Ojukwu, the National Organizing Secretary; and one other person in the party from presenting themselves as National Officers of the party.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the order was given by Justice Hamza Muazu following an ex-parte application presented by James Ogwu Onoja, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
Onoja had informed the court about how the four party executives allegedly falsified several documents from the FCT High Court to conduct unlawful substitutions during the previous general elections.
Consequently, the judge ordered the four individuals to immediately stop parading themselves as national officers of the Labour Party.
