Former Minister of Labour and Productivity and a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Musa Gwadabe, has passed away at the age of 86.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Gwadabe, who had been battling a prolonged illness, died Wednesday morning at a hospital in Kano.
Aisha Musa Gwadabe, one of the deceased’s daughters and a worker at Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM Kano, confirmed the news of his passing.
The funeral prayer for the late minister will be held at his residence, located off Maiduguri road in Kano, at 2.00 pm on Wednesday.
During Olusegun Obasanjo’s first tenure as president from 1999 to 2003, Gwadabe served as a minister.
He was also the Secretary to Kano State Government during the tenure of the late Sabo Bakin Zuwo and was a member of various boards.
The deceased is survived by two wives, 11 children, and several grandchildren. Alhaji Nazifi Musa Gwadabe, one of his children, is a contractor based in Kano.
