Ramadan: “Let’s carry forward the spirit of kindness” – Peter Obi tells Muslims

The 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has called on Muslims in Nigeria to show kindness to one another.

In a Ramadan message posted on X, Obi joined Nigerian Muslims in celebrating the successful completion of the fasting season.

The former Anambra governor also described the end of Ramadan as a month of faith, sacrifice, compassion and discipline.

He said, “My dear Muslim brothers and sisters. I rejoice with you on this blessed Eid al-Fitr, marking the successful completion of Ramadan, a month of faith, sacrifice, discipline, and compassion.”

The former Anambra governor urged them to ensure they help to the vulnerable, and work together for peace, justice, and progress in our nation.

“May the lessons of Ramadan; love, humility, generosity, and unity continue to guide us. In these trying times for Nigeria, let us carry forward the spirit of kindness, extend help to the vulnerable, and work together for peace, justice, and progress in our nation.

“I pray Almighty Allah accepts your ibadah, forgives our shortcomings, and grants you and our country abundant blessings, security, and prosperity. Eid Mubarak! Eid Sa’id,” Obi said.
