Eid-el-Fitr: APC asks citizens to keep praying for Nigeria

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged Nigerians to continue praying for peace, unity, and progress as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement on Friday, Barr. Felix Morka, national publicity secretary of the party, congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

Morka said Eid-el-Fitr is a major Islamic festival that marks the end of a month of fasting, spiritual reflection, and obedience.

He said the celebration symbolises spiritual renewal and strengthens family and community bonds through charity, prayer, and fellowship.

His words: “As we celebrate, we urge Nigerians to sustain their prayers for peace, unity and progress of our dear nation, while upholding the virtuous essence of Ramadan, including penitence, sacrifice and obedience.

“The occasion of Eid-el-Fitr also beckons on us to reach out to the needy and less privileged around us with kindness, love and fellowship,” he said.

He said the prayers and sacrifices offered during Ramadan should inspire greater unity among Nigerians.

“May the prayers and sacrifices of the faithful bring more peace and unity to our country as we work together for enduring progress and shared prosperity,” he added.
