Following the recent judgement of the Supreme Court in which Governor Ademola Adeleke was affirmed as the elected governor of Osun state, Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, Davido has celebrated the ruling on his social media platform.
The Supreme Court, in its lead judgement dismissed an appeal against Adeleke’s election victory by former governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola.
In his reaction, Davido mocked oppositions with a line from ‘Over Dem’ a track in his latest album, Timeless.
He tweeted: “We go dey shock them like high-tension’.
Meanwhile, following the tweet, many of Davido’s fans celebrated with him, with others telling him to tell his uncle to perform and deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Osun state.
In his reaction, Teejaybaba said:
“Just tell your uncle to perform else he will be booted out in the next four years.”
Abdulmaleek Gbolahan added:
“Congratulations to His Excellency, Ademola Adeleke.. Thanks to God for the Victory.”
Recall that Davido who was actively supportive of his uncle’s bid prior to the polls had earlier sought God’s intervention ahead of the Supreme Court judgement.
