Following the interest of the Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Kalu, to join the race for the Senate presidency, Kalu said he is prepared for the 10th Senate having armed himself with the requisite knowledge ahead of time.
The former Abia State governor disclosed this via his Facebook page where he posted pictures indicating that he had just concluded a leadership course at Harvard Business School.
He wrote, “Leaders don’t venture without vision. They don’t pray without plans. They don’t climb without clues.
“They are always ready and continuously add to their stock of knowledge. For the 10th NASS, we prepared and have been ready ahead of time.”
Kalu declared his interest to join the race for the Senate presidency on March 21, saying it was his turn to assume the apex position of the Red Chamber.
He had since met with the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) where he informed them of his ambition.
Kalu, who is in the race with his closest contender, Senator Godswill Akpabio, had also written personal letters to the members of the National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress and 108 Senators-elect of his interest to be the next Senate President.
