The National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD, on Sunday night, suspended its 5-day nationwide warning strike.
According to report, the National President of the Association, Dr. Emeka Orji had directed all resident doctors to resume work by 8 am tomorrow in all Federal and State Teaching Hospitals, as well as other hospitals where resident doctors are trained.
Recall that the association had embarked on the strike on Wednesday following the failure of the federal government to meet its demands.
The NARD president said, “progress made will be reviewed on 2nd June 2023 during the association’s general meeting where next line of action will be decided.”
Before the strike, NARD had given the government a two-week ultimatum to meet its demands.
