JUST IN: APC clears national chairman, other NWC members ahead of national convention

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared several members of its National Working Committee (NWC) to contest at the party’s national convention scheduled for March 27–28 in Abuja.

Among those cleared by the APC national convention aspirants’ screening committee is Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, national chairman of the ruling party and Senator Ajibola Basiru, national secretary.

The screening committee also cleared Alhaji Bukar Dalori, deputy national chairman (north), and Emma Eneukwu, deputy national chairman (south).

Also cleared are Donatus Nwankpa, national welfare secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, deputy national organising secretary, and Barr. Felix Morka, national publicity secretary.

The screening exercise, conducted by a committee chaired by Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti state, is part of preparations for the APC national convention slated to hold at Eagle Square in Abuja.

Party leaders, delegates and stakeholders from across the federation are expected to attend the convention, where members of the NWC will emerge.
