FG Suspends Weekly FEC Meeting Indefinitely Over Coronavirus

The Federal Government has suspended indefinitely its weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, Politics Nigeria reports.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, disclosed this to reporters on Monday evening at his office in Abuja.

According to the SGF, accompanied by some other members of the group, the government has also suspended the Council of State meeting earlier scheduled for Thursday.

Mustapha also announced the closure of all land borders for four weeks, adding that the Head of Civil Service of the Federation would soon issue an advisory to civil servants on a way forward henceforth.

As at Monday morning, Nigeria recorded a total of 36 cases of COVID-19, including one death and two recoveries.
