Traditional rulers in Nigeria from the six geo-political zones under the aegis of the National Council of Traditional Rulers have spoken their minds following their meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
Politics Nigeria reports that the traditional rulers met with the president at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
According to the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the royal fathers do not envy Tinubu as a leader.
However, the Sultan of Sokoto assured him of the support and loyalty of the royal fathers, underlining their availability at any time it was required.
In his remarks, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Adewusi, who chanted ‘Use Us’ severally, urged President Tinubu to use the traditional rulers,, particularly in tackling the challenge of insecurity.
The meeting is part of the president’s continuous consultations with stakeholders after the fuel subsidy removal.
