Adeleye also confirmed the rescue of a 45-year-old man and his 15-year-old son, who were abducted on Friday evening in Pelebe community along Oda Road, Akure. He said:

“The man and his son were kidnapped between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. yesterday (Friday). Our operatives rescued them at about 1:00 a.m. following a heavy confrontation with the kidnappers.

The Amotekun commander reassured residents that the safety of lives and property remains a top priority for the state government.

He urged the public to provide timely and accurate information to security agencies, emphasising the importance of collective efforts in enhancing safety across the state.
