Wike’s Political Son, Kingsley Chinda, Emerges Minority Leader

Kingsley Chinda, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency in Rivers State, has been elected as the Minority Leader of the 10th House of Representatives.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the decision was made during a PDP caucus meeting held in Abuja on Friday.

Chinda, a 57-year-old lawyer who previously served as the commissioner for environment in Rivers State, emerged as the leader after his main contender, Oluwole Oke of Osun State, withdrew from the race.

Notably, Chinda shares the same constituency as Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State.

In addition to Chinda’s appointment, Ali Isah, representing Balanga/Biliri Federal Constituency in Gombe State, has been named as the Minority Whip of the 10th Assembly of the House.

Isah is a member of the PDP.
