2027: APC Speaks on Viral N200m Presidential, N150m Governorship Form Fees

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to reports claiming it fixed high fees for its 2027 nomination forms, describing the information as false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the party said it had not taken any decision on the cost of forms for the next general elections.
It stressed that the figures circulating online did not come from its leadership.
The viral report, which spread widely between March 26 and 27, claimed that presidential aspirants would pay N200 million, while governorship hopefuls would be charged N150 million.
It also listed N100 million for Senate, N70 million for House of Representatives, and N20 million for state assembly tickets.
Reacting, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, dismissed the claims and warned the public against taking such information seriously.
“To be clear, no decision or announcement has been made on the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections. The report is a mere figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination,” the statement said.
He added that the party would officially communicate any decision on nomination forms at the appropriate time, urging party members, the media, and the general public to ignore the circulating figures.
The party maintained that its focus remains on strengthening internal structures ahead of the 2027 elections, rather than engaging in premature discussions about nomination costs.
This clarification comes shortly after the APC concluded its national convention in Abuja yesternight.
