Abubakar Suleiman has been re-elected as the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Suleiman, who previously served as the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, secured his re-election unopposed during Tuesday’s proceedings.
This newspaper reports that the re-elected speaker represents the Ningi Central Constituency.
In addition, Jamilu Barade, a representative from Bauchi metropolis, emerged as the new deputy Speaker of the House.
The formal inauguration of the 10th Assembly of the House is currently underway at the Assembly Complex in Bauchi.
