“Tinubu’s reforms will reposition Nigeria for growth” – Ex-CAN youths chair

Belusochukwu Enwere, former national chairman of the youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), says the reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu will reposition Nigeria for sustainable economic growth.
Enwere made the remark while congratulating the president on his 74th birthday in a goodwill message issued on Saturday.
Enwere commended Tinubu’s leadership and commitment to national development, describing the president as a visionary leader implementing bold policies to transform Nigeria’s economy.
“President Tinubu is a visionary leader whose bold decisions are gradually reshaping Nigeria’s economic and governance landscape,” Enwere said.
He praised the administration’s economic reforms, citing the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market.
He described the policies as difficult but necessary steps to stabilise the nation’s economy. According to him, the reforms have improved fiscal transparency and are gradually restoring investor confidence.
Enwere also highlighted the administration’s efforts to increase revenue generation and reduce debt vulnerabilities.
He said the government has introduced initiatives to support small businesses and provide palliative measures for vulnerable Nigerians.
Enwere commended ongoing infrastructure projects across the country, citing the rehabilitation of sections of the Enugu–Port Harcourt expressway and the access roads to the second Niger Bridge.
“President Tinubu has shown inclusiveness in governance by ensuring that key infrastructure projects are not limited to one part of the country. The South-East is witnessing gradual improvements that will enhance commerce and mobility,” HE SAID.
Enwere acknowledged the administration’s efforts to tackle insecurity nationwide, citing ongoing military operations against insurgents, bandits and separatist criminal elements.
He added that improved coordination among security agencies has strengthened the fight against insecurity.
Enwere expressed optimism that the government’s approach combining kinetic and non-kinetic strategies would bring lasting peace.
“As the President marks his 74th birthday, it is important for citizens to reflect on the progress made and to continue offering constructive support to ensure that reforms achieve their intended outcomes,” he added.
