BREAKING: Putin Vows to Bring to Justice Those Who Rebelled Against Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that those responsible for orchestrating the Wagner Group’s insurgency against the federation would face legal consequences.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Putin’s statement confirmed recent reports that Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the mercenary group, would be charged, despite a previous “pardon” granted by the Russian government.

During his five-minute televised speech, Putin emphasised that the West and Ukraine sought to instigate conflict among Russians, aiming to incite violence and discord. However, he warned that any attempts at blackmail or internal unrest within Russia were destined to fail.

“This demonstration of civic solidarity has proven that all forms of blackmail and efforts to incite internal unrest are destined to fail. I reiterate that the highest levels of unity within society, as well as the executive and legislative branches, were evident,” stated the Russian president, addressing his fellow citizens.

Putin further highlighted the unwavering support for constitutional order demonstrated by public organizations, religious denominations, and leading political parties, essentially encompassing the entirety of Russian society.

According to reports from Russian media, Vladimir Putin is currently convening a meeting with the heads of Russian security services. Additionally, Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu is said to be present at the gathering.

It is worth noting that Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner Group, had demanded Shoigu’s dismissal before embarking on his march towards Moscow last Saturday.
