A chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Buba Galadima, has reacted to widespread speculations that the party’s presidential candidate in the February 25 election, Rabiu Kwankwaso, is defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Galadima declared that Kwankwaso was yet to inform his party, the NNPP, that he would be joining the APC.
The NNPP chieftain, however, declared that Kwankwaso was ready to work with President Bola Tinubu.
According to Galadima: “Kwankwaso has not told anybody he is joining the APC; people are just talking, but what we have before is winner take all. If Tinubu calls for a unity government, it is not bad.”
Kwankwaso has been associating with Tinubu since he won the presidential election, and there are predictions that the President might give Kwankwaso a political appointment.
