JUST IN: Malami speaks on Kwankwaso’s defection, says move will strengthen ADC

Abubakar Malami, former Attorney-General of the Federation, says the defection of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will strengthen the party.

Malami made the comment in a statement welcoming the former Kano governor to the opposition party.

“I warmly welcome His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to the African Democratic Congress family,” Malami said.

He said Kwankwaso’s political experience and leadership would boost the party’s efforts to build a more inclusive political platform.

His words: “Your wealth of experience, proven leadership, and enduring commitment to the progress of our nation will undoubtedly strengthen our collective resolve to build a more inclusive, prosperous, and people-driven Nigeria.

“This is a defining moment for our party and for all Nigerians who believe in unity, justice, and purposeful leadership.

He added that members of the party would continue to work together in the interest of national development.

“Together, we will continue to move forward in the interest of our great nation,” the Kebbi state-born politician said.
