The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) officials have rescued a baby from a lone accident in a tragic incident that took place at Ayegunle-Oka, Akoko Southwest Local Government Area of Ondo State.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the accident claimed the life of the baby’s mother.
The incident involved a Hiace Toyota Bus bearing the registration number BWR 563 YL.
Confirming the rescue operation, Ropo Alabi, the Unit Commander of FRSC in Ikare-Akoko, stated that their team promptly responded to the accident upon receiving the alert.
Sources within the community revealed that the swift arrival of FRSC officials played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the baby.
Following the accident, the child received immediate medical attention and was subsequently handed over to the mother’s family. Individuals known as John and Joseph Ode came forward to assume responsibility for the baby.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Ode expressed profound gratitude to the FRSC officials for their exceptional efforts in rescuing the child.
He praised the FRSC for their instrumental role in the successful rescue operation.
“The FRSC not only saved a precious life but also provided solace and hope to our grieving family. We deeply appreciate the timely medical attention and care rendered to the child,” Ode remarked.
The FRSC seized the opportunity to urge all road users to prioritise safety and abide by traffic rules and regulations in order to prevent accidents and tragic loss of life.
