Arsenal football club midfielder, Granit Xhaka has left the Premier League side for a new club in Germany.
The North London club will receive €25m fee for Xhaka as he joins Bayer Leverkusen in a 5-years deal.
Xhaka was crucial to Mikel Arteta’s title challenge campaign last season but the arrival of Dacian Rice in a staggering 100 million pounds deal this summer has forced the Swiss out of Emirates Stadium.
He signed a contract with the Bundesliga side till 2028.
Arsenal fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to their former captain who is now on his way to Germany.
”Granit Xhaka was a soldier and I was his soldier. I fought for him and he fought back on the pitch. Thank you, General Granit. From one of the best progressors in the 1st and 2nd phase to an all-action, all-phases star. Thank you for being available for and to it all,” one of them wrote on Twitter.
