Stop Attacks on Peter Obi or Me; It Only Benefits APC — Atiku Tells Supporters

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has cautioned supporters to desist from attacks against Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and himself, saying such actions weaken opposition unity.
In a post on his X handle on Tuesday, Atiku said individuals who attack either Obi or himself “do not have the best interests of the leaders, the coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), or the country at heart”.
He argued that internal rifts only play into the hands of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which he accused of thriving on divisions within the opposition.
“The only persons who benefit from such a civil war are the APC urban bandits who want to maintain the satanic status quo,” Atiku wrote.
The former vice president emphasised the importance of solidarity among opposition leaders and their supporters.
“We are better together,” he said, renewing his call for unity ahead of future political engagements.
