The oldest of the 63 passengers abducted by terrorists on the Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28, 2022, Hajiya Halimatu Attah, has been reported dead.
Attah, from the famous Attah family, died on Wednesday, July 5 in Kaduna, at the age of 86.
She was kidnapped in 2022 alongside her daughter upon her return from Cairo after a medical check-up.
One of her sons, Abdulmalik Attah, who confirmed the news to journalists on Saturday, July 8, revealed that she passed on peacefully.
Abdulmalik stated that his mother would be remembered for her kindness, as she truly performed her role as a mother and demonstrated love for all she came across.
Asked if she had told him anything about her ordeal back in captivity he will never forget, Abdulmalik recalled her insistence on ensuring the safe release of the other captives,
