The police command in Lagos state has announced the rescue of a day-old baby from a sewage tank.
According to the command in a tweet on Wednesday, July 12, the baby was found in Gowon Estate.
The police said the rescued baby had been taken to a health centre for immediate medical care and added that the toddler was in a stable condition.
The tweet read:
“A day-old female baby was found in a sewage tank at about 8:30 am today. Officers of Gowon Estate Division, upon being alerted, promptly arrived at the scene.
“The baby was taken for immediate medical attention at a health centre and is doing well.”
