The Oyo House of Assembly has suspended the chairman of Akinyele Local Government Area of the state, Taoreed Adedigba, over alleged gross misconduct and misappropriation of funds.
The state’s legislative body directed the vice-chairman to take over the council.
The secretary took over the Local Council Development Area One and the assistant secretary to Local Council Development Area Two.
Moreover, it directed the chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, popularly (Agba Egbe), to step aside.
Agba Egbe was alleged of impunity, abuse of office and misappropriation of local government funds.
The house, however, constituted an ad-hoc committee headed by Mr Peter Ojedokun to investigate the allegations.
