JUST IN: Jigawa Governor’s Special Adviser Resigns, Defects From APC to ADC

Hon. Mustapha Fatoma Ringim, Special Adviser to the Jigawa State Governor on Trade and Investment, has resigned from his position.
He has also dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.
The development was confirmed in a resignation letter dated April 3, 2026, and addressed to the Executive Chairman of Ringim Local Government Council.
In the letter, he stated, “I write to formally tender my resignation from my position as special Adviser to the executive Chairman on Trade and investment, Ringim Local Government Council. With effect from 03-04-2026.”

The former aide described his time in office as an honour. He appreciated the opportunity to serve under the current leadership. He also thanked the council for the trust placed in him during his tenure.
Ringim noted that he contributed to trade growth and economic development within the local government. He added that the experience gained during his service would remain valuable.
Though the letter did not state his next political move, sources close to the former aide confirmed that he has now aligned with the ADC coalition.
