President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja on for Cotonou, Benin Republic, to attend the 63rd anniversary of the country’s independence.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that he was accompanied by six governors: Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq (Kwara), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), and Mohammed Umar Bago (Niger).
The president’s spokesman, Dele Alake, said in a statement on Monday that Tinubu would be attending a series of events to mark the independence anniversary, including a military parade and a reception hosted by the Benin government.
