BREAKING: Senate Approves 45 of Tinubu’s 48 Ministerial Nominees

The Senate has approved the appointment of 45 ministerial nominees sent to the chamber by President Tinubu.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the nominees were approved on Monday, August 7, 2023.

Among those whose nomination was approved are is Nyesom Wike (Rivers).

The screening of the nominees began on July 27, 2023, when Tinubu sent the first list of 28 nominees to the Senate.

Six days later, the president forwarded an additional 20 names to make the total number of ministerial nominees 48.

The approved nominees are:

Mal. Nasir El’rufai, Stella Okotte and Abubakar Danladi have not been confirmed by the senate as their security clearance is being awaited.

The Senate has adjourned plenary till Tuesday.
