The body of a man who jumped into the lagoon in the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge area of Lagos State has been recovered.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the man, who has yet to be identified, was found dead on Thursday morning. He is believed to have jumped into the lagoon on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services confirmed the recovery of the body in a statement.
“Body from Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge recovered dead. Details soon, please,” the statement said.
The State Environmental Health Management Unit (SEHMU) has badged the body for immediate movement to the Lagos morgue.
Meanwhile, the police have cordoned off the area and are investigating the incident.
