In a bid to fight hunger in Osun, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has donated the sum of N20 million to the state government.
Osun State is ranked third with confirmed cases of Coronavirus., according to data from the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).
On Wednesday, Governor Gboyega Oyetola formed a 21 man committee to attend to the needy of the residents presently locked down at this period.
Members of the committee include former governors – Bisi Akande, Rauf Aregbesola, Matthew Ashimolowo, Deji Adeleke, Iyiola Omisore and Adeboye amongst others.
The state opened a COVID-19 account domiciled at UBA.
Mr Adeboye applauded the efforts of the state government in curbing the spread of the virus in the state and prayed that God would put an end to COVID-19, not just in Nigeria, but in the entire world.
Before now, Mr Adeboye donated 8,000 hand sanitizers, 8,000 surgical face masks, and 200,000 hand gloves to support the efforts of the Lagos State government in equipping the medical staff with necessary protective gear needed to contain the COVID-19 pandemic on Monday.
