Video of Minister Keyamo dozing off during proceeding of presidential tribunal emerges

A video of the minister of aviation, Festus Keyamo (SAN) dozing off during the proceeding of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) on Wednesday, September 6, has emerged.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Keyamo was seen struggling with sleep and wiping his eyes to keep himself awake.

Keyamo is one of the All Progressives Congress (APC) bigwigs who is in the courtroom where the much-awaited proceeding is taking place in Abuja.

Others present in the court include Vice President Kashim Shettima, National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu, President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Abuje Julius, and the national chairman of the Labour Party (LP).

Meanwhile, the PEPT has struck out the petition filed by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) challenging the nomination of Kashim Shettima as the running mate of President Bola Tinubu.

The court also held that the petition was statute-barred, meaning that it was filed beyond the time limit allowed by law.

The APM had argued that Shettima was ineligible to be a running mate because he had been nominated as a senatorial candidate by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections.
