Zulum unveils 70 buses for civil servants, new structures at terminus (photos)

Borno state governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has unveiled a new fleet of 70 buses for metro transport and to ease the movement of civil servants to their various places of work.

The state government unveiled the fleet on the evening of Monday, September 11, as one of its ways for citizens to cope with the economic hardship that attended the removal of petrol subsidy.

The initiative aims to alleviate the burden of commuting for both government employees and the general public.

Also, Governor Zulum unveiled newly constructed structures and remodelled buildings at the terminus.

Meanwhile, Zulum had approved the release of 10 million naira as a relief package to soldiers wounded during battles in Borno.

The relief package was a fulfillment of a pledge by the governor at a Sallah launch organised by the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja.

Borno State Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman A Tar, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Barrister Mustapha Ali Busuguma, delivered the Governor’s gift to the GOC 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Peter Malla at the 7 Div headquarters in Maiduguri on Saturday, August 19? 2023.
